 The review:
Digiarty Software has provided me with both the WinXDVD Riper as well as the Platinum edition. I found that the ripping speed is a great factor in this program. Other ripper programs I have tested are either real time or longer for ripping DVDs to hard drive but these two programs do cut down the ripping time. The variety of file types for output is non-too-shabby either. You can end up with your choice of: AVI, MPEG, MP$, WMV, MOV, FLV and you can also rip the music right out of the DVD movie which in some cases is real handy.

The one option that is lacking in the programs is the fact that if you already have a copy of a DVD on your hard drive, the program cannot be fooled into ripping it out of a hard drive folder compared to the DVD-ROMs drive. This is one option that needs to be fixed  but other than that I love this program, I am moving all my movies to a couple of terabyte drives and use my laptop as the player and then there is no need for all those bulky DVD cases.  Thumbs up for Digiarty Software.
