Ron Ridley Auto Care Mall

At E3 I came across a fellow Canadian who was showing off his software program called Faces and instantly it caught my eye. This program is the type used by law enforcement around the world for doing composite drawings of suspects. One would think of highly sophisticated talent is required to work the program. NOT....

I started to play with it and tried to see if I could do a drawing of myself. I did not have a mirror handy or even a picture of myself and within about a half an hour I think that I did fairly well.

Now I must admit I looked like this about 10 years ago when I was a bit thinner, but you cannot hold me responsible for wishing now can you!

The installation did take about 15 minutes because it copies the whole CD to the hard drive and that is a total of 574 MB of hard disk space. Obviously this program holds an incredible amount of graphics for all of the variety of facial features.

I was amazed at the speed and ease that the program handles itself and of course printing was a snap as well. I can see why law enforcement officials would want to use this program for catching crooks.

The pictures are done in grey scale and maybe wishing for color is too much at this time as well there is a great little game included with this Faces program where you are shown a face and you have to try to duplicated. I think though that this game is designed more for the artist to get better aquatinted with the program and capabilities because this IS a very serious program and I recommend it highly.
