Word From The Company:
Creating backups of important files on a regular basis is probably one of the easiest and cheapest ways to protect irreplaceable data, emails and personal files from all sorts of technical disasters. Still, billions of dollars are lost every year because of technical problems and loss of data. WinBackup is a new backup solution from LI Utilities that makes it easier for home users as well as corporate users to create and
organize backups that are updated regularly.

To start with, the installation of the program is extremely fast. It is almost like "by the way…" and it is installed. That is a plus in my book. Next I try to see if I need to read some text before I use the program, in other words is it user friendly and by going through all the buttons and menus, I figured out all of this great little programs capabilities in under 5 minutes.

I tested the program by backing up some data from my "C" drive to an "F" drive in my system and I selected some random folders and specific files to back up and then gave it the back up command and in short order, the program kicked in and seem to compress everything into a type of zipped file. After, I looked and it was a specific file ending of ".WBB" file ending and not zip. This tells me that you have to have this program loaded on whatever drive you need to put the back up files onto. This is not a problem as the program is small nd the requirements are quite minimal.

When I double clicked on this new backup file that was created, the program started up and spread all that was backed up and asked me which file/folder I wish to restore and whether I wanted to over-write files or only replace missing one. This is a great option. The program will also do scheduled backups but of course that only works practically if your system is on 24 hrs a day. You can preprogram this program to do your back ups in the middle of the night for example and that can save on some downtime if done during working hours.

All in all for the price I found this to be a worth while and simple to use back up utility.
