  Photoshop 7
As with most professional software, one can expect a new version every year with incredible added features. This is designed for the companies to sell more copies of their products and understandably so. Adobe is certainly no exception.

System requirements
• Intel® Pentium® III or 4 processor
• Microsoft® Windows® 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows Millennium Edition, Windows NT® with Service Pack 6a, Windows 2000 with Service Pack 2, or Windows XP
• 128 MB of RAM (192 MB recommended)
• 280 MB of available hard-disk space
• 800x600 color monitor with 16-bit color or greater video card

The first thing that I noticed with this new version is a thumbnail browsing capability that truly enhances this program from previous versions. The access to this browsing is from an area in the upper right hand corner of your window and it's called the well.
Then the options that you use often such as layers for example can be docked in this well to take it off the screen and still have fast access to it.

The next new great feature I have found is the Healing brush tool on the tool bar. In the past I used to correct blemishes on a persons face using the stamp tool. This new Healing brush tool works similarly but with much better results. It seems to take the main info of color and shade from one location and then blend it over the blemish with the proper shading and smoothness. This feature alone makes this program worth getting for photo editing.

Other new features include Batch renaming which some other programs have had and this is where Photoshop finally caught up. There are of course tons of smaller new refinements that are much too numerous for me to mention here in this review. Needless to say, Adobe Photoshop 7.0 is sitting on top of the photo editing world and is still hard to knock off.
