Welcome to remote controlling your computer. Here is a quality product that I have just tested at length and found that I will be using this program quite a bit in the future. Programs that control a computer over the phone lines have been around for a while now but I have only recently come across ones that actually do what they claim.

To me one of the most important aspects of this type of a program is the ability to see the desktop of the computer that you are controlling so that it feels like you are right there. The drawback is speed of course because no matter how good the modems are at both ends, the phone lines and switching in between really control the reaction speed of what you are trying to do.

On the left here you can see the button bar that is available to you once you connect with another computer. The first 2 buttons controls the viewing of the screen, in other words, do you want full screen or on top of the current Desktop.

You can select the chat mode and this one can be real handy to use while you are fixing someone else's computer. You see if the phone line is being used for the connection, and there is no second line, how do you communicate with the person at the other end whose computer you might be fixing.

This chat program is ideal for that.

Back to the main screen menu, you can see here the options that can be selected whether you are a host computer or a remote control one can be set here.

This is also where you go for File Transfer. This means if you wish to send an upgrade file or an add on file to the computer you are working on long distance, you select the file transfer option and another window will pop up that resembles the Explorer showing your computers files on the left and the controlled computers files on the right and you simply copy the files over that you select. A very simple process.

This version has a voice capability but to be honest I have not tried this option.

I also read that control could be done over the net as well and I have not tried that either but I certainly will the first chance I get because then there would not be any long distance calls involved.

The program does have quite a bit more to it but for now all this will have to do. I am impressed with the program and recommend it to anyone who has to have control over another computer over phone lines.
