Ron Ridley Auto Care Mall

Words from the company:
SINGLEPLAYER STORY: There were five brothers Romano, Angelo, Sonny, Chico and Mario. As kids they were inseparable as they grew up on Sicily with their grandparents. As they grew older three of the brothers became more and more unsatisfied with the quiet life in the Mediterranean and one day they killed their own brother Chico in a fight whereafter they fled to the land of opportunity where they began each their own criminal career.

That made grandpa very upset… He sent his fourth grandchild to America to track down and kill his malicious brothers and avenge the murder. First thing Mario should do when he arrives is to look up his uncle Vincente…

MULTIPLAYER STORY: You take on the role of one of the four Italian brothers, Mario, Angelo, Romano or Sonny. Born into Sicilian mafia, you must work your way up within the family and compete with other mobs and gangsters for supremacy in Paradise City.

The Review:
The program has a huge installation process and as you can see from the recommended requirements, you need a gig of hard drive space. Gone are the days of small sized programs. The reason for the huge space requirements is the graphics engine that will let you literally go all around as well as up and down and turn in a 360 degrees in all directions. This was my first point of contention about this game. Trying and succeeding in providing such a viewing capability put this games controls into a very big learning curve just to get around and seeing what you want to see. The controls forces you to select the character first and then with another click point where you wish to go. This method unless you do short in-screen trips is fine but if you want to go around a block you can loose your character until he catches up to where you want to go.

Now don’t get me wrong, this game is absolutely incredible in the way you see things, it was simply very difficult for me to handle everything going around. This is also a very complex game and not one that you can finish in one afternoon or even one solid week. There are many tasks that you need to accomplish and all that take time. You pretty well have to dedicate yourself to this game for a long time and you will get great satisfaction when things go your way.

The fight scenes are a bit bloody but not too graphic and the sound clips are sort of old Italian mobster overkill but nevertheless a lot of fun.

Get this game and I can guarantee a great time with it and I hope that you have lots of time for it cause you will need it. I have not tried the multiplayer version of the game but I can imagine how much fun it could be.
