The Review:
Joan of Arc takes a bit of time to install as it puts over a gig of info on your hard drive. Once installed, you do have a choice of playing easy, normal, hard or very hard. I went with easy so I can get into the game quickly and easily. In the sword fighting sequences, at first, all you do is click madly away and just slash and hack until your opponent is dead. After a while, you learn the various ways you can attack and that becomes important when more than one is against you. You also have to keep in mind your strength and stamina just to stay alive. Try to collect a lot of apples because they rejuvenate you. Other foods can rejuvenate your colleges as well but that comes later.

After your first mission is done you need to go around in the keep and break open boxes and barrels to find foods and stuff and make sure that you go up on the wall as there are things to find there as well.. As you fight opponents, you gain skill points and learn new fighting techniques to assist you in your future battles but make sure that you add these by pressing the F1 key and look at your stats.

I am not going to go on and tell you the whole story here, you will have to find all that out yourselves. I wanted to mention the incredible graphics that this game provides and the smoothness in the movement. I did have a bit of trouble zooming in and out getting aground level through the grass view one minute and an overhead view the next because I moved my mouse the wrong way. This of course was minor and I learned fast how to manipulate it better.

The game is hard, don’t kid yourself, even in easy mode but hours of fun you are guaranteed in having.
I enjoyed this game tremendously so far so now I leave you so I can get back into the fray.
