I have a ranch style home that is spread out and my internet comes in one end of the house and I have had a hard time picking up a signal at the far end of the house because of all the walls and interference for any wireless equipment so I had to find something that would provide me with the signal strength without the need to run cable throughout the house.
Along comes the Cisco Linksys WES610N Bridge which does exactly what its name tells you. It provides you with a bridge between your wireless electronic gadgets and your router. Without doing any programming, I set up the bridge and lo and behold not only could I access the internet anywhere in the house with excellent bandwidth but the house is on a 2 acre lot and I can even go to the edge of my property and still access the internet. The bandwidth does drop as you get further away from the bridge but certainly better than with just the router.
I know that this is definitely my choice of equipment to get good connectivity in a large house and I recommend it highly to all.
